Generate a linked schematic, enter pipe directions and lengths, and understand unknown route segments.

Generate and open a sheet #
From a P&ID, choose Engineering → Generate isometric. Once a linked sheet exists, use Open isometric to open it and Open P&ID to return to its source.
The isometric view is a schematic. Canvas positions are drawing coordinates, not measured pipe lengths or physical elevations. Enter known lengths explicitly; do not derive them from the spacing of symbols.
Enter pipe directions and lengths #
- Select a pipe in the isometric canvas or pipe list.
- Choose a direction for each route segment:
+X,-X,+Y,-Y,+Zor-Z. - Enter the segment length in metres, or leave it blank when unknown. Add or remove segments as needed.
- Choose Simpan rute to save. Save or choose Batalkan before switching pipes while a route has unsaved edits.
X and Y are horizontal drawing axes; Z is vertical. They do not specify compass bearings. Each pipe supports up to 12 segments. A supplied length must be above zero and no more than 10,000 metres.
Read unknown lengths and conflicts #
A blank length means UNKNOWN, not zero. Segments without lengths are drawn as schematic assumptions with dashed lines. The summary separates known horizontal lengths, known vertical lengths and the count of unknown segments.
Signal lines are excluded from pipe-length calculations. A loop conflict indicates that the entered routes do not close at a consistent position; review the affected directions and lengths. A drawing with unknown lengths is not a complete physical length take-off.
Update the linked sheet #
After adding objects to the P&ID, choose Update isometric to append new objects to the linked sheet. It preserves manually entered isometric routes and does not rearrange the source drawing.
Unlink keeps a selected linked object but stops synchronising it with its counterpart. Updating is not a command to replace your manual route lengths.
