Properties and search #

Select a symbol or line to open its properties on the right. Available fields depend on the object:

  • Equipment and off-page connectors: label and engineering data.
  • Instruments: letters, loop number and engineering data; location and system are shown when present.
  • Valves: tag, actuator, normal state, fail position, indication method and engineering data.
  • Lines: endpoints, flow direction, thickness, engineering data and line groups.

Use Search tag/spec… to find symbols by tag, name, specification or size. Select a result to centre it on the canvas.

Layers and validation #

Layers

Open View → Layers to add a layer, change its order, hide it, or assign the current selection. Hidden layers are omitted from the working canvas until shown again.

Validation

Choose Engineering → Validate. The Issues panel lists rule violations; selecting one pans and zooms to the affected object. Markers can be toggled independently from the View tab.

Save, export and share #

Save
For a guest, Save opens sign-in so the drawing can be kept. Signed-in edits remain in the account workspace.
Export
Download a standalone SVG, PNG or JPG. Guests can export without creating an account.
Share
Create a read-only snapshot link. Sharing requires an account.
Refresh share
Publish the current drawing to an existing share link. Later edits remain private until refreshed.
Stop sharing
Disable the link without deleting the drawing.
Guest drawings expire

A guest gets one drawing, kept for 24 hours after the last edit. Sign in or export it before then.

Isometric sheets #

Choose Engineering → Generate isometric to create a linked schematic from the P&ID. After adding objects to the P&ID, choose Update isometric to append the new objects. Use Open isometric and Open P&ID to move between the pair.

On the isometric sheet, select a pipe and edit its direction and length in the right panel. Unlink keeps a selected object but stops synchronising it with its counterpart.
