Export and sharing

Download your drawing or publish a read-only snapshot that you can refresh or disable.

On this page
  1. Keep an editable drawing
  2. Download an image
  3. Create a read-only link
  4. Publish later changes
  5. Stop sharing

Keep an editable drawing #

Signed-in drawings live in your account workspace. Canvas layout edits save automatically after a short pause; use Save and check for a successful save before leaving. Engineering forms have their own Save engineering data action.

Guests can work on one drawing, kept for 24 hours after the last edit. Choose Save to sign in from the same browser and keep it when your account has available capacity. Export before leaving if you only need a downloaded copy.

Download an image #

Choose Export in the editor’s top row, then choose a format. Guests can continue with a download without creating an account.

FormatWhat you receive
SVGA standalone vector drawing with its artwork and styling included.
PNGA raster image on a white background, rendered at twice the sheet’s pixel dimensions.
JPGA JPEG raster image on a white background, also rendered at twice the sheet’s pixel dimensions.

An image export is a copy of the drawing, not an editable draf.ing workspace backup. Keep the account drawing for later changes. If raster export fails, try SVG and check the browser’s download permissions.

Publish later changes #

Editing the original drawing does not update the shared snapshot automatically. Open Share; when the drawing has changed, the panel tells you the published version is behind.

Save your changes and choose Refresh to publish the current drawing at the existing link. Readers can reload that link to see the refreshed snapshot.

Stop sharing #

Choose Share → Stop sharing to disable access through the link while keeping your original drawing. Deleting the drawing also removes its share link.

Disabling a link does not remove copies someone has already downloaded. To edit the drawing yourself, open it from your workspace rather than its read-only share URL.
